| Well well... it has been a moment since i lasted blogged. I figured it was time. I am currently fresh of a win in Philly. Defeated Jeff Cartsen in 48sec by rear naked choke. I am getting ready for my fight June 6th at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO. This is my first fight under a big organization. Strikeforce will be here in my stomping grounds, and I am doing everything in my power to have a good showing. I just recently got back from San Jose, CA for a week of hard training. I was invited to come train by "Crazy" Bob Cook and his great staff. This gym was loaded with talented 170s and plenty of big guys as well. I didnt realize how much i hate the bike until we went through a 30min workout that set my lungs on fire. I had the to pleasure to work with Jon Fitch, Josh Koschek, Mike Swick, Justin Wilcox, and Jake Sheilds came in one day and we grappled. This was a very fruitful trip. Javier Mendez helped me fix a few errors with my striking, and some of the MMA coaches gave me some good words of wisdom. Three weeks to showdown. My body feels great and i think i will peep right on time. Stay tuned i will give you the break down of my first time to Cali as well as this week leading up to my trip to ATT (Coconut Creek, FL), and then of course the fight. |
